Meet Dr. Mark Fernandez
Dr. Mark Fernandez is a 1993 graduate of the University of Missouri Dental School in Kansas City. He completed a general practice residency at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. He then entered a two-year program for an advanced education in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
For his participation in various programs that involve dental care for disadvantaged children, Dr. Fernandez earned the 1993 American Dental Association Recognition Award for International Volunteer Service in Dentistry.
Dr. Fernandez is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. Dr. Fernandez served for 22 years on the board for the Dental Health Theatre (currently known today as Healthworks), which educates children on how to make healthy choices regarding their health).
His hobbies include traveling, playing guitar, and banjo! He also has served on mission trips to several third world countries around the world and helped provide dental care to underserved children.
